The kitchen is considered a holy place generally, but a bathroom a bit unholy. However, as far as cleaning is concerned, both have quite a lot in common so that bathroom cleaning and kitchen cleaning become interrelated arenas. These crystals have the ability to absorb bacterial odor, animal odor, sulfur dioxide etc. It should be placed near the source of the bad odor to allow effective absorption. After the odors have been absorbed, the zeolite crystals should be kept out in the sun where the crystals will release the absorbed pollutants. Another way of deodorizing is using steam-cleaning machines both for bathroom cleaning and kitchen cleaning.

The need to prevent drains getting clogged is also a common aspect of both kitchen cleaning and bathroom cleaning. Pouring hot water into the drains of bathtub, kitchen sink, and washbasin is a great way to prevent drain clogging. If salt is added to the hot water it will be more effective. This should ideally be done at least once in a week. At the end of kitchen cleaning at night, make a mix of a half-cup of white vinegar and half a cup of baking soda and pour it in the drain and leave it overnight. Flushing it off in the morning with hot water will ensure a clean drain. The same can be done for bathroom cleaning also after the day’s use of the bathroom is over. Instead of baking soda and vinegar, hot water and washing soda can also be used.

Germ collection is also a common cross of kitchens and bathrooms. Using distilled white vinegar in kitchen cleaning for cleaning cooking range, counter tops, and sink will reduce germs. In the case of bathroom, spraying it with disinfectants while doing bathroom cleaning will help. However, a most effective way for killing nestling germs is using steam-cleaning equipments for routine kitchen cleaning and bathroom cleaning.
